AND DOES IT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH TODAY’S MASS SHOOTING?
I first wrote about this event in my New Moon forecast earlier this month. No one else seems to be talking about it but I think they will ... now.
IN EARLY SEPTEMBER, I WROTE:
“Something’s going to happen this month – something very unusual and very significant. On September 18 at 4:54 pm EDT, Venus will conjunct Saturn in Scorpio. Not too unique ... it happens at least twice every 28 years.
“But this time, at their exact conjunction, they will both also conjunct the North Node in Scorpio. I wish I knew when that happened last. I don’t have time to figure it out.”
I finally looked it up and, thanks to Richard Nolle’s excellent website and its research tools for astrologers, I found what I needed.
I looked at more than 2,500 years, all the way back to 597 BCE, and what I found surprised me. Although Saturn conjuncts the North Node about once every 11 to 12 years, they only come together in the sign of Scorpio an average about once per century.
Adding Venus to the mix, and looking for the number of times that Saturn, Venus, and the North Node were all conjunct at the same time, within less than a degree in orb – I learned that this occurred exactly ZERO TIMES in the past 2,500 years.
So in all of modern, middle, and even ancient history, this precise combination of influences has never occurred. We have no dates in history to look at, to see if a mundane event of with enough significance occurred to prompt scribes to record it for posterity.
WITH NO PAST OCCURRENCES IN RECORDED HISTORY, WE MUST LOOK AT THE CELESTIAL PLAYERS AND ANALYZE THE COMBINED POTENTIALS OF WHAT THEY RULE IN MUNDANE ASTROLOGY
SCORPIO – Rules society’s shared assets: government property, tax revenues, stocks, and equities.
SATURN – Rules government, infrastructure, regulations, and the people who enforce laws and regulations. Saturn in Scorpio in particular rules police, SWAT teams, and parts of the military, including secret police and “special ops.”
THE NORTH NODE – In mundane astrology, a focal point for world attention.
VENUS – Venus is a personal planet, but in a mundane chart often rules the sense of well-being in the populace (or lack of it). While Moon rules the people’s mood and sense of security, Venus rules whether people happy with current events or not. Venus-Saturn connections in mundane charts are often associated with great sadness in the populace, possibly due to the death of a widely beloved person. In the sign Scorpio, add a sense of the people feeling personally threatened on top of that. Add the North Node, and you can point to a specific event to which the whole world is paying attention.
Considering the above and also the fact that Mars squares while Uranus quincunxes the triple conjunction all week, we have a set-up for the events that happened at the Navy Yard in Washington D.C. today.
But while extreme and tragic, it isn’t a once-in-2500-years event. So let’s hope it doesn’t get worse. One news report today said that D.C. police received an ominous note this afternoon that said, “This is not over.”
ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE
Astrologer and member, Jenni Stone says, regarding the traditional Vedic interpretation of North Node conjunct Saturn: This is considered a war in the heavens – and sometimes feels like an oppressive, suspicious mood or crushing feeling.
Vedic astrologers predict that some of these world events could be in the news with North Node conjunct Saturn (in any sign):
- Tragic deaths and accidents
- Famine
- Infections and illness from unknown diseases
- Rising prices create concern
- Stock markets and commodity prices can spike
- Air accidents
- A world leader or eminent political figure could be overthrown – perhaps violently
On the positive side, they predict that NN/Saturn can signal:
- Opening of the way for financial reforms
- New inventions
- Political system reforms
WHAT MIGHT THIS MEAN FOR US?
You can take any mundane chart configuration and find out something about what it means to you by placing it in your natal chart.
The triple conjunction takes place at 8 degrees Scorpio.
That puts it in my 6th house conjunct my Sun. Saturn stationed there and has effected my Sun for so many weeks, but this conjunction should add new elements.
I just spent an insane amount of money (credit/debt/Scorpio!) to improve the structure and function of my home business (my Sun rules my 4th and the 6th rules workplace), and I’m hoping it will help me move my business to a higher, more world-noticed level (NN), and make myself much more money (Venus, personal resources.)
So I guess the triple conjunction’s symbolism fits like a charm for me, according to where it falls in my natal chart.
I’m just doing my thing, being in the mundane world, but not of it.
What about you?
