On the Role of Barack Obama and other Souls in Weaving a Global WebFrom Thoth, Shesat and the Ascended Masters, through Norma Gentile We are witnessing a new cycle of reincarnation at work in the political realm. It is a very large cycle. Each of you has soul agreements with your family and those who live in your community. You also have agreements at a soul level with all those who live in your own nation. Among the groups of souls that incarnate to complete particular tasks, there is a group that incarnates in order to create governments. Their goal is to create governmental structures within form that reflect two different energies simultaneously. The first being the individual's ability to choose freely, (i.e. to have free will), and the second being the individual's ability to belong to a larger communal Spiritual group.
One person connected to Spirit is strong. Two people connected to Spirit are even stronger, while three or more are stronger yet. You experience the magnification of your connection to Spirit during group meditations. Your healers know how healing energies are magnified by groups, as this is how they are able to facilitate an individual's quantum healing.
The group we are concerned with today might be called "The Founding Fathers/Mothers Soul Group." As these particular souls incarnate, their goal is to establish governments that allow for individuals to make free-will choices, while forming groups that are connected into Spirit so they can access the group's magnified connection to spiritual energies. Now, you might say this sounds vaguely familiar. And you are correct. This group of souls has created both the democratic and parliamentary systems of governments in your modern and ancient world history.
Five of the Founding Fathers/Mothers of the United States were members of this soul group. Two souls from this group helped to establish the Canadian government; one from within the center of the political stage, and another from her position just outside this circle. Members of this soul group have also been present in Lemuria, and in Alexandria, Egypt. Some were also present in Atlantis, but that is another story.
There are about thirty souls in this group. Their pattern up until now has been that four, five or six of these souls incarnate, while the remainder of the group supports them from the Spiritual realm. But that has changed.
WEAVING THE GLOBAL WEB NOW
Now, they are in the process of incarnating throughout the entire planet. Their goal is to weave a web of understanding which encompasses all of humanity. That web of understanding might, someday look like a single governing structure encompassing the world, with locally unique functions. But their focus right now is to simply draw into your reality that energetic quality of free-will choice combined with the energetic quality of groups consciously forming to magnify the connection to Spirit.
We are seeing some of these souls incarnate now in northern China. There are also two souls in northeastern Russia, five living now within Native American tradition in the southwestern United States, and one in California.
BARACK OBAMA'S REINCARNATION CYCLE
The question we sense from all of you is: "Is Barack Obama one of these souls?"
And the answer is 'no'.
Barack Obama is one whom these souls have incarnated in order to support. But he is not one of the major players in this particular soul group. Remember, this group specializes in setting up and starting new governments.
The soul you know as Barack Obama has had one life working within U.S. politics before. And that life was more suitable than you might imagine to prepare him to tackle what your country is facing. Several other channelers have speculated that he previously incarnated as Abraham Lincoln. While there are many similarities, we would say this is not true. Rather, those similarities seen between Obama and Lincoln reflect a connection of loving friendship and mentorship between the two souls.
Look also to the nature of the soul's journey. Each soul develops its own unique qualities through the trials and tribulations of each lifetime. While you do not incarnate along linear time, you may choose to revisit a city, career, or emotional situation, for a particular reason. Learning from other lifetimes will influence your choices as you live for a second, third, or fourth time in that same city or situation. Hopefully, your choices will become wiser, and the karma will be undone from the earlier lifetime(s).
Here, then, is what we would share about Barack Obama. His past life in U.S. politics was a professional success but a personal disaster. In this lifetime, after much study and consultation with other souls, he has re-entered the political stage with the tools and loving relationships that allow him full access to his spiritual energies and stabilize him emotionally. What was in the past will not be repeated. He has stepped backward into your time (remember, you do not incarnate along linear time) with tools from the future that will address present issues, and heal past cycles as well.
In the present, Barack Obama has the possibility of igniting awareness of the shared spiritual connection between people living in the United States and those living in other countries around the world. When this shared spiritual connection is remembered and revitalized through group and individual meditations and ceremonies, your shared consciousness will be cleared. A shaman focuses the energetic portals that develop in group chanting or meditation, and serves as a channel for this energy to create healings. In a similar way, Barack Obama has the ability to be the conduit through which the consciousness of America will change.
WHO WAS HE?
Eighty percent of the soul incarnating now within Barack Obama was also incarnate as Alexander Hamilton, your first Secretary of the Treasury. Ask us again in a month, and that percentage is apt to change. Just as you have the ability to utilize different aspects of your larger soul, letting portions come and go as you move through life, so too he will drawn more strongly upon different aspects of his soul as he moves through this life.
But Barack Obama is better served by looking at who he is right now and how he is going to move forward. He, and all of you in form, must now create with the new energies that are available to you, rather than looking backwards to what has been done in the past.
BOUNDARIES AND RULES ARE GONE

The energies of the past were held in place by strong boundaries of what could and could not be created. Now, our reality no longer contains those boundaries and their related rules. The perception of energetic heaviness we feel is often our personal or communal falling back into obedience to the past energies and their rules. But this is not what our future will be.
From here and into the future, our perception of the energetic space of our world will be a sense of gliding through space, and doing it with a great amount of ease. This may, especially at first, cause us to startle or scare ourselves. You might go into moments of fear, where you grasp at something that will stop your forward momentum. You may also find that you make yourself feel more habitually heavy, which you often confuse and substitute with being grounded.
Rather than gaining weight on our physical bodies, or accumulating items in our homes or creating relationships in which we become mired, imagine that you feel yourselves in the present comfortably connected to Earth and to others whom you love. This sensation of being comfortable upon the Earth helps our bodies connect to energies that nurture and nourish us. We are accustomed to having external energies, laws and boundaries define what we do and even what we believe we can accomplish. Now, we are invited to enter a whole new experience: to not define ourselves by want we can't do, but to define ourselves by what we can do. And that would be the mantra, here and into the future.
ALLOWING FREE WILL CHOICE

While there are many strong governments in the world, as the United States moves in one direction or another it influences the ease or dis-ease with which other countries function in the world. One of the greater political motions that exists within this new energy of clarity in the United States is that of learning to allow other people and nations to do something you disagree with. So while we as individuals and a nation find that we might be in disagreement with what someone else is doing, there is less of a sense of needing to do anything about it, except to say 'that wouldn't be my choice.' This is an example of honoring the free will we each embody.
THE SHADOW SIDE
Within the United States, the president has typically embodied the unconscious shadow that the majority of those residing within the country were working on revealing. The sexual shadow loomed large over JFK and Bill Clinton. The shadow of personal gain has overtaken George Bush. As a country, we end up processing the shadow sides our politicians because it is what we as a people need to learn about.
It is easier to see McCain's shadow side of anger and violence than to see Obama's shadow side. In fact, many people would argue he has none. And here lies the deceit that we as a nation are wrapping ourselves up in. The challenges and the path we in the United States must walk is not comfortable. Electing Barack Obama has not and will not take away our discomfort.
OBAMA'S ROLE
Obama is not the Savior. He himself jokes that he does not walk on water. Rather, he assists us in empowering ourselves. We are not going to be saved; we are going to be coached. Our next steps are steps into self-empowerment. Challenges are plentiful, and our shadow sides prefer ease and sloth to discernment and focus.
The United States is being called upon by Spirit, and by the souls of all those incarnating now on the planet, to step forward into the shoes of Manifest Destiny (the Sacred Masculine), which it stepped out of more than a century ago. We must do this in a sacred manner. We are not to dominate, but to place upon ourselves the mantle of true spiritual leadership. We do this with love, charity and honor towards our fellow men, women and children with whom we share the beauty and abundance of this lovely planet.
Just as the United States fell away from embodying the principles of the Sacred Masculine it was meant to demonstrate, we now must step back into these principles. What does that look like? The form is up to us. As we follow our hearts and behave as if we were manifestations of Sacredness, each of us will choose wisely, and according to our own soul's journey.
